Starting Work

As part of the production side of our game creation we have to maintain not only history of scrum meetings but also the time used when creating each aspect of the game be it graphics, code or documentation.

To log the time I have spent working on individual assets for the game I have used an online program called clockingIT.

Below is an example of a list of active tasks for our project along with the time spent on each and a brief comment on any updates achieved.

Meet the players

Having worked through several different designs for each of the characters I have created a final design illustration for each of the three main playable characters.

Say hello...
                                                                 Googleite

                                                                  Pypsian

                                                               The Eleven

Here comes a new challenger

Another feature of the game that I need to create are the player character and enemies that roam the arena.

Below are a series of sketches and illustration I have created for our cast of playable characters.

The end of the world as we know it.

Realising my job in the team was to create the graphics for the game I immediately began to create a few mood style storyboards to help determine the look of the art style and designs of the environment.

The King Is Dead, Long Live The King

Welcome to my blog for Regicide Games.

For the rest of the year we have been tasked with creating a game. The class has been split into 3 teams and each group is to create a game from a given phrase or word. Our team was given the term God Complex.

As a group the most important thing to sort out first was our group name and logo. The final design you can see above.

Next we had to create a concept for our game. This began by having a fortnight of scrum meetings with all of us sharing ideas about what we would like and not like to make.

In the end we opted for an arena style combat game in the mould of top down shooter.

Realising we could not come up with a better name we christened the concept God Complex. Imaginative eh!
